He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kate Winter (Reiner); his son Kurt Allen Winter; his parents, Linda Slifko (James) and Mark Winter (Terri); his brother Garret Winter; his grandparents, Doyle, Marilyn Painter, Ron and Gloria Winter; his stepgrandfather James Slifko; and his pets, Loc and Kaine. He was also cherished by two stepbrothers and two stepsisters; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to Kate and Kurt in care of the funeral home.
