He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Varnes and Elizabeth "Betty" Varnes. He is survived by: his wife Kelly McQuestion Varnes; his daughter Melissa Alt (Kirk) of Sunbury; his granddaughters, Miranda and Katelyn; his brothers, Mark Varnes (Rachelle) of Toledo and Marvin Varnes of Toledo; and his sisters-in-law, Becky Czerniak (Jim), Debbie Jones and Jenna Bright (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
