She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Reynard and Alma Reynard (Scott); her son Kevin Matthews; and her brothers, Richard and Ronald Reynard.

She is survived by: her husband James A. Matthews, Jr.; and her children, Cindy Stingle of Rayland, Jamie Frederick (Steve) of Dillonvale, OH, Lisa Valuska (Mike) of Dillonvale, OH, Kim Spell (David) of Rayland and Melissa Smith (Tim) of Bloomingdale, OH. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
