With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Valenti of Rayland, Ohio, born in Martins Ferry, Ohio, who passed away on May 1, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Valenti and Evelyn Valenti (Briggs); his wife Patricia Valenti; his stepson Richard McKean; his brother-in-law Robert Ryan; and his nephew Rick Ryan.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Valenti (Kim), Mark Valenti (Claudia Captor) and Kimberly Valenti DelaCruz; his sisters, Patricia Ryan and Sandra Talarico (Vince); his siblings-in-law, Linda Krone and Larry Deitch (Dorcas); his grandchildren, Cory Kenny (Brittan), Scott Valenti Jr., Nicole Valenti and Brianna Leyba (Andrew); and his stepgranddaughters, Erika Sztary (Bryce) and Deirdre Lutz. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to Valley Hospice, in Jerry's name.
