He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominic Spong and Ada Spong (Tesi); his wife Norma Spong (Dolfi); his daughter Donna Shannon; and his siblings, Alfred Spong and Sue Forte.
He is survived by: his son David Spong (Cyndi); his grandchildren, Adam Spong (Melissa), Garrett Spong (Rossi), Mathew Shannon Spong and Lauren Matin (Chico); and his great grandchildren, Brody, Daiton, Elijah, Dominic and Garrison.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Joseph Catholic Church or the Alzheimer's Association in Donto's name.
