He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Gutierrez and Orliene Gutierrez (Martinez); his wife Shirley Fae McGahan; his sons, Leonardo "Leo" Gutierrez Jr. and Tony Fusco; his brothers, Juan Gutierrez (Sharon), Rocendo Gutierrez and Avino Gutierrez; and his brother-in-law Joseph Zoldak.
He is survived by: his son Juan Gutierrez (Sherry) of Boardman; his stepchildren, Cheryl Dickey, Leah Erving (Jim) and George Westfall; his grandson Antonio Ammadio Fusco; and his siblings, Socorra West (Gary), Shelly Poracky (Larry), Eva Hnatt (Joe), Lupe Crispin (Alfredo), Bonnie Zoldak, Suley Garcia (Luis), Tony Gutierrez (Vicky) and Roy (Janet). He is also survived by numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
