He was predeceased by: his parents, William Britt and Nannie Cosby; his spouse Hester Lucille Simmons; his siblings, Stanley, Coston, John, Darwin, Heber, William Cosby, Jr., Mary Valentine, Flossie Valentine, Wilma Brown, Sarah Powell and Wylodine Powell; and his granddaughter Miranda Danielle Cosby.
He is survived by: his sons, Roger Cosby (Martha), Ronald "Rusty" Cosby (Maria) and Roland "Bo" Cosby (Monalee); his grandchildren, Robert Cosby (Katessa), Jaclyn Causey (Lance), Melanie Chambers (Cardell) and Jalyn Cosby; his great grandchildren, Anitra, Alana, Brianna Causey, Kalis, Isaiah Cosby and Shai Chambers; and his brother Darold Cosby (Maxine).
Due to COVID concerns, the family regrets there will be no public visitation; a private service at the family's convenience only.
