He was predeceased by: his mother Genevieve Groves; and his siblings, Owen Herron and Lydia Shaw. He is survived by: his wife Patricia L. Groves; his children, Shurdon Groves, Jr., Shelly Groves-Cowx, Phill Peck, John Groves and Angelo Groves; his stepdaughter Christine Herra; his grandchildren, Chad, Jacob, Jerico, Rachel, Alexandria, Kara, Christian and Amber; his great grandchild Beckett; and his brother Berlin Groves.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel (141 N Meridian St, Ravenna, OH 44266).
