He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph O. Rhinehart and Cora Bell Rhinehart (Barker); his sons, Jim Rhinehart, Dave Rhinehart and Larry Rhinehart; his siblings, Edna Hayes, Helen Kunar, Elizabeth Hayes, Fred Rhinehart, Barbara Hayes and Ervin Rhinehart; and his in-laws, Mary Dean, Patty Nowak and Lawrence Evers.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Rhinehart (Evers); his children, Joseph Rhinehart (Betty), Mary Lou Staab, Ronald Rhinehart (Janet) and Mark Rhinehart; his siblings, Arlene Smith and Richard Rhinehart; and his daughter-in-law Teri Rhinehart. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
