He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Scarcella and Emma Jean Scarcella (Kelley); and his brother-in-law David Hoffman. He is survived by: his wife Lori Scarcella (Gaerte); his children, Jesse (Anne), Sara, Timothy (Caitlin) and Jonah (Shelby); his grandchildren, Leia, Naomi, Adalia, Eleazar, Emma and Noah; his sister Cathy Hoffman; his parents-in-law, Kenneth and Karen Gaerte; and his brother-in-law Doug Gaerte (Phyllis).
