He was predeceased by: his father Robert G. Smith; and his brother Frederick "Rick" Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Kathy Blair (Dave), Robert E. Smith, David Smith and Peggy Smith.
Not only did he provide outstanding produce for the Kent Natural Foods Co-op, but he donated soil, time and energy toward helping the local economy.
