He was predeceased by: his parents, Simeon Hughes and Jessie Hughes (Baughmer); his daughter-in-law Joyce Hughes; and his siblings, Simeon, Thomas, Richard, Elizabeth, Helen, Mary, Naomi and Susie.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Hughes (Wiseman); his sons, John R. Hughes and David A. Hughes; his granddaughters, Amanda Etter and Misty Hughes; his great grandchildren, Alaina Etter and Jameson Etter; and his siblings, James Hughes (Anna Jean), Claudia Cerne and Sarah Rosman.
