He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Jacob and Grace Ellen Townsend Groves; his brothers, Robert Lee Groves, Sr., Harry Charles Groves and Alfred Ray Groves; and his grandson Corey Collins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dena Collins of Rarden and Chasity Newman (Darrell) of Otway; his grandchildren, Logan Groves (Ashley Bates), Brady Groves Shyanne (Tori Montgomery), Mackenzie Vires, Caleb Statham, Ryan Newman and Sherry Jones; his great grandchildren, Abbie Collins, Ayden Collins, Luna Cearley and Elanor Hoffer; and his siblings, Edward Groves (Kay) and Ellen Fern Thompson.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home (6500 OH-348, Otway, OH 45657). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the U. P. Cemetery.
