He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Baxter and Leona Baxter (Jacobs); his wife Luretta Baxter (Patrick); his siblings, David, Jimmy Lee Baxter and Juanita; and his brother-in-law Richard Lowe.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Baxter of Columbus and Brenda "Cookie" Postell (Alan) of Edison; his grandchildren, Kyle Postell (Victoria) and Ryan Postell (Erin); his sister Marianne Marlor; and his sister-in-law Christine Baxter. He is also survived by 3 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson.
