She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Matre and Martina Stanley Van Matre of West Columbia, WV.; her sister Alice Marlene; her brothers-in-law, Dennis Hutchison and Junior Kennedy; and her niece Tammy Kennedy.
She is survived by: her son Jason L. Mawhirter of Columbus, OH; and her sisters, Julia A. Kennedy of Tuppers Plains and Linda S. Newland of Tuppers Plains. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
