He was predeceased by: his parent Winnifred Gibbs; his wives, Pat Gibbs and Donna; his son-in-law Gene Harris; and his grandsons, Shaun and Josh Harris.

He is survived by: his daughter Donna; and his close friend Becky Elder. He is also survived by five children and all the extended family.

A celebration of the Life of Gary L. Gibbs is being planned by the family when the timing is appropriate giving consideration to the COVID pandemic.
