He is survived by: his wife Linda Spencer (Weaver); his daughter Selena Spencer (Steve Dunlap); his brother Ike Spencer (Judy); his nephew John Henry Spencer (Lorri); his niece Lisa Wolfe; and his brother-in-law Tony Weaver (Shirley Wilson).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to RACO in Racine, Ohio.
