It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Rush of Quaker City, Ohio, born in Monroe, Ohio, who passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel P. Rush and Rosa Iona Bonifield Rush; and his siblings, Hildred Mareno, Barbara Lucas, Samuel Loren Rush and Damon Rush.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Rush; his children, Cindy Barton of St. Clairsville, Sam Rush of Woodsfield, Cathy Cline (Shelby) of Woodsfield, Virgil Rush II of Woodsfield, Randy Rush of Woodsfield, Loretta Stephens (Brad Crooks) of Woodsfield, Robert Elliott Jr. (Pam) of Columbus, Michael Elliott of Caldwell and Laura Perkins (Ed) of Pleasant City; his siblings, Elsie Baker of Woodsfield, Hazel Petty of Cleveland, Pauline Reed (Chuck) of Beallsville, Clifford Rush and Paul Rush (Patricia) of Woodsfield; and his grandchildren, April Trump (Kevin), Walter Wayts Jr. (Kari), Andrew Wayts (Cynthia), Eric Brown (Natalie), Aaron Brown, Josh Rush, Heather Monroe (Dustin), Derek Stephens (Lacie), Cierra Perkins, Austin Perkins, Clayton Elliott, Camden Elliott, Michael Bush and Nathaniel Bush. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
