Wilma Jean Bland Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Jean Bland of Proctorville, Ohio, who passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Wilma Jean farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Wilma Jean is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce McCallister and Ruby Bledsoe McCallister; her husband Kenneth Bland Jr.; her son Greg Bland; and her siblings, Wanda Allen and Rod McCallister.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Bruce Bland (Cheryl) of Indianapolis, IN and Ronald Bland of Tampa, FL; and her daughter-in-law Teresa Bland of Willow Wood, OH. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hall Funeral Home & Crematory (625 OH-775, Proctorville, OH 45669). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be expressed to First Baptist Church of Proctorville, OH.
