He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ellis and Ethel Law Michaels; his former wives, Elizabeth Ann Michaels and Loretta Jean Wilson Michaels; and his siblings, Larry Michaels, Ted Michaels, Gloria Smith and Sue Gobble.
He is survived by: his wife Velda Joanne Michaels; his daughter Lucia Hayden (Chris); his stepsons, John Fitzpatrick (Jennifer), Mikie Fitzpatrick and Paul Fitzpatrick (Tassin); and his siblings, Earl Michaels (Lynn), Wade Micheals and Kathy Brown.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (2015 Adams Ave, Huntington, WV 25704). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery.
