He is survived by: his wife Dara Gorby; his children, Connie Gorby Mays (Ronald Gale), Gwendolyn Sue Gorby, Daniel Sowards (Meghan), Sierra Massie (David), Sarah Sowards (Daron) and Rosie Mannon; his grandchildren, John Gorby Carpenter, Aria, Aliyah, Savanna and Nick; his great grandchild Jacob Ryan Carpenter; and his brother-in-law Donzie Ray Goodson.
