He is survived by: his wife Carol Jones Hayes; his children, Jerry Edward Hayes, Paula Renee Lawson of Woycheese and Michael Andrew Hayes (Connie); and his siblings, James "Skip" Hayes, Reba Crawford and Dennis Hayes. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
