With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Edward Hayes of Proctorville, Ohio, born in Huntington, West Virginia, who passed away on January 24, 2023 at the age of 57. He was predeceased by: his brother David William Hayes (James A. Lawson); his friend Don Combs; and his grandparents, Earl, Gertrude Hayes, Bubby and Elizabeth Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald Tennant (Tisha), Stormi Dement (Mikey) and Christopher Carpenter; his grandchildren, Skyla, Hunter, Mason, Brayden, Shaelin, Krista and Daxton; his siblings, Paula Lawson Woycheese and Michael Hayes (Connie); his nieces and nephews, Chrissy, Felicia, Trish, Angie, Darcy and James "J. W." Lawson; his uncles, Den Hayes (Maryann) and James Skip Hayes; and his aunt Reba Crawford. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
