He was predeceased by: his wife Vada Ruth McCallister; his parents, Jesse Alonzo "Lonnie" and Luna Emil McCallister (Lucas); his siblings, Elvin, Herman, Cledith, Golden and Lue Vicie; and his daughter-in-law Inetta McCallister.
He is survived by: his sisters, Loreda Mae "Reda Mae" Bias, LaAnna Crawford and Evelyn Jewel Frazier; his sister-in-law Georgia McCallister; and his children, Marvin McCallister, Nancy Black (Doug) and Melvin McCallister (April). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and so many friends he loved.
