He was predeceased by: his parents, Walden Adkins and Erma Adkins; and his brother Michael Dale Adkins. He is survived by: his daughter Vanessa Craig (Steve) of Hurricane, WV; his grandchildren, Jackson Craig and Aubree Craig; his siblings, David M. Adkins of Huntington and Judy C. Russell of Huntington, WV; and his close friend Jenn Booth. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
