He was predeceased by: his parents, John Westlake and Margaret Westlake (Davis); his siblings, John Westlake, Richard Westlake, Mary Martha Westlake, Betty Alban (Westlake) and Majorie Anderson (Westlake); and his grandson Nicholas Vogler.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Westlake (Bradshaw); his children, Terri Vogler (Carpenter), John Carpenter, Jeffrey Westlake, Michele Sigler (Westlake), Jodie Gadoury (Westlake), Jeffery Westlake and Joel Westlake; and his grandchildren, Jessica Volger, Gorby Carpenter, Taylor Shields (Westlake), Chantz Sigler, Zachariah Sigler, Adam Gadoury, Sean Gadoury, Timothy Westlake, John Westlake, Nicole Thomas (Westlake) and Jeffery Westlake.
