He was predeceased by: his wife Valerie M. "Nan" Baker; his siblings, Celestia Doty, Stella Saner, Eleanor Boger, Leanna Piper, Brady, Dale, Kenneth and Junior Baker; and his son-in-law Harold Richmond.
He is survived by: his children, Geraldine Richmond of Powhatan Point, Terry Baker (Dessie) of Powhatan Point, Amy Gray (Daniel) of St. Clairsville, Jackie Potts (Matt) of Powhatan Point, Ohio. and Kurt Baker (Shirley) of Powhatan Point, Ohio.; and his grandchildren, Angela, Ike, Chad, Jason, Jamie, Danny, Cherie, Ryan, Lacey, Kevin and Haley. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren, one great great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
