It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shannon D. James of Powell, Ohio, who passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As Shannon departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Shannon may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Shannon leaves behind.

He was predeceased by: his father Donald James. He is survived by: his mother Patricia James (Byington); his wife Kim James (Bartus); his children, Gracie James, Katy James of Powell, Ohio and Dylan James of Powell, Ohio; and his siblings, Dawn Papenfuss (Al) of Sandusky, Ohio and Chad James (Josielyn) of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory (1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky, OH 44870). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
