He was predeceased by: his father Dwight L. Clay; his wife Marianne; his sons, Richard "Rick" Clay and Mark Clay; and his grandson Joseph "Joey" Sansone.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rita Evans, Denise LeGault (Bill), Debbie Nist (Robert), Christina Sheets and Patricia Sansone (Jim). He is also survived by many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
