He was predeceased by: his father Anthony Ball. He is survived by: his wife Libby J. Spaulding Ball; his children, Lisanne, Olivia and Donovan; his mother Jean Cates Ball; and his sisters, Arlis Ball and Lorinne Ellis.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The James Cancer Center and Solove Research Institute.
