He was predeceased by: his parents, Ishwarbhai Patel and Durgaben Patel. He is survived by: his wife Alka Patel; his children, Shivani Bhatnagar (Tanuj Bhatnagar) and Adi Patel (Khevna Mody); his brother Piyush Patel (Liza Patel); and his niece Raina Patel.
