She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Shearer and Velma Shearer (Heisey); her sister Norma Nelson; and her niece Julie Shearer. She is survived by: her brothers, Don (Joy Shearer) and Lowell (Rebecca Shearer); her nieces and nephews, Allan, Donna Shearer, Jim, Kay Shearer, Catherine, Gary Smith, Amelia, Mark Shearer, Kelly, Jeff Willey, Zach, Rachel, Jake Cantrell, Eli, Dr. Jennifer Nunnally, Kathryn Parker, David Nunnally II, David Shearer, Trinity Wilds and Nigella Shearer; and also, Stan, Pat Grim, Mike, Terri, Breanna Coate, Michael, Melanie Coate, Adam, Amber Coate, Brandon, Erin Coate, Sammy Grim, Craig, Peggy Grim, Michelle, Rachel and Carter Grim.
In lieu of flowers, Ruth asked that memorial contributions be made to the church or to the State of the Heart Hospice in Greenville, Ohio.
