With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra Ann Douthat of Portsmouth, Ohio, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on November 26, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladstone Warren and Ruby Jewell Palmer Hammond; and her sister Barbara Hammond. She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Leroy Douthat; her children, Michael "Mick" W. Douthat (Gina) of Cincinnati, Dr. Jeffrey Scott Douthat (Marissa Montgomery) of Ashland, KY and Cynthia "Cindy" R. Temponeras (John) of Portsmouth; her grandchildren, Cameron Douthat (Rachel), Melanie Temponeras, Allison Douthat, Tori Douthat, Morgan Temponeras and Lily Douthat; her close friend Sharon Bender of Portsmouth; her sibling Sandy; and her pet Rosie.
She donated her late mother's property to the Southern Ohio Domestic Violence Shelter and the family requests that contributions be made in Sandy's memory to the shelter at 2315 Grant St., Portsmouth, OH 45662.
