He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Taylor and Edna Owsley Taylor; his son Mike Taylor; his wife Bonnie Taylor; his sister Judy Coe; and his stepson Luke Thomas.
He is survived by: his son John Taylor (Lisa Taylor); his grandchildren, Brittany Taylor, Jonathon Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Ashley Lunsford, Laura Taylor and Rose Taylor; his sisters, Gloria Bocook of Sciotoville and Kim Huddleston of Columbus; and his stepchildren, Cindy Piatt, Tracy Henderson and Ernie Thomas. He is also survived by nine step-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
