He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. and Virgie Luther Horsley (Wright); his siblings, Phyllis Jean Gulley, Roger Horsley and George E. Horsley; and his stepsister Gracie Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Leah F. Smith Horsley (Spires); his daughter Debra J. Hines (Ronnie) of Medina, Ohio; his stepchildren, Michael Ray Smith (Sally) of Westerville and Michele L. Reed (Christopher) of Columbus; his brother LaRue Horsley (Vickie) of Rubyville; his sister-in-law Gloria Horsley of Portsmouth; and his grandchildren, Heather Vorsas, John Levi Hines, Joshua Shane Hines, Alysha Goodwin, Jacob Reed, Angela Drake and Michael Smith, II. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
