He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Gross and Ruth Blanton Gross; his stepsons, Emory Dials and Franklin Dials Jr.; and his brothers, Ralph Gross and Paul Gross.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Adkins Gross; his children, Norman Richard Gross and Mary Kathleen Tripp; his stepdaughters, Lisa Webb and Bonita Belcher; and his sister Sandra Litton. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home (1310 3rd St, West Portsmouth, OH 45663). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
