Battle of Alpharetta, GA; her former husband Grady L. Battle, Sr.; her siblings, Phillip Whitehead, Carvie Whitehead, Josephine Gilliam of Woodbury, NJ, Patricia Goolsby of Belews Creek, NC, Daisy Mae Saunders of Winston-Salem, NC, Mary Welch (Julius) of Walnut Cove, NC and Carolyn Whitehead-Satterfield (Walter) of Winston-Salem, NC; and her significant other Dorothy Jean Ferguson of Austin, TX.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
