It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mima Marie Vita of Portsmouth, Ohio, born in Sciotoville, Ohio, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Lee and Helen Esther Smedley Taylor; her husband Orlando "Ollie" Anthony Vita; and her siblings, Jerry, Kenneth Joseph, Anthony, Robert, Anne Taylor and Norma Lee Crosby.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew A. Vita (Rhonda) of Cincinnati, Orlando David Vita (Nancy) of Powder Springs, GA, Julia A. Green (Michael W.) of Cincinnati and Sarah L. Keeney of Columbus; her brother Pat Taylor (Patsy) of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandchildren, Colin Keeney, Eric Keeney, Laura Alsdorf (Zach), Joseph Vita, Lindsay Lang (Brad), Aaron Green (Courtney Marcum), Andrew Vita (Andrea), Kelsey Vita (Reggie Wesselhoeft), Emilie Vita and Grace Keeney; her great grandchildren, Jonathan McDaniel, Anna Alsdorf, Connor Lang, Elliott Lang, Harper Green, Meredith Gunn, Bella Wesselhoeft, Jaiden Wesselhoeft, Warren Keeney and Nolan Beisser; and her siblings-in-law, Jimmy Zugay, Lawrence Vita, Florence Zugay, Vivian Taylor and Virginia Vita. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
