She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Messer and Irene Nicely Messer; and her siblings, Junior Messer, Evangeline Messer, Eleanor Messer, Agnes Winters and Robin Messer.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Pitts, Earl Pitts, Tim Pitts, Dayne Pitts, Tanya Joyner, Rotonda Hay, Rovella Scally, Betty Terhorst, Bobbi Holsinger and Virginia Brunner; her siblings, Wagner Messer, Walter Messer, Albert Messer, Anita Rouse and Candace Gire; and her pet Duke. She is also survived by grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren.
