He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Montgomery and Florence Montgomery (Sanders); and his siblings, Helen Davis, William Evert Montgomery, Donald Montgomery, Robert Montgomery and Gary Montgomery.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Montgomery (Rogers); his daughters, Deanna Cope (Chris) of Indianapolis, IN., Kendra Caldwell (Jim) of Portsmouth and Laura Simpson (Mike) of Portsmouth; his grandchildren, Ashley Cope of Indianapolis, IN., Colby Cope (Kara) of Indianapolis, IN, Abigail Caldwell of Portsmouth, Emily Caldwell of Columbus, Sara Brumfield (Zack) of Wheelersburg, Bethany Simpson of Portsmouth and Seth Simpson of Portsmouth; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Arthur, Anna Cope and Katie Brumfield.
