He was predeceased by: his parents, Selca Cordle and Susie Cordle; his former wife Kathleen; his daughter Debra Lea Butler; his granddaughter Faith Kathleen; and his siblings, Paul, Norman, Dewey, Selca, Jr., Jack, Lacie, Floyd and Minerva.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Reeder Chandler; his son Johnny A. (Cathy); his grandchildren, Christie Adkins, Jessemily Egerton (Justin), Wesley Butler, Josh and Jeremy Cordle; his daughters, Diane Thompson and Brenda King (Arnold); his grandchildren, David, Leigha, Andrea, Chandler and Cameron; and his siblings, William, Janet Comer, Linda James and Mary Reffitt. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
