He is survived by: his wife Letha Lee Bunner Proffitt; his children, Dale F. Proffitt (Joann), Jenny Smith (Mark) and Melissa Smith (Garry); and his grandchildren, Bobby, Heather, Nick, Lindsay, Brandon, Bryan and Ryan. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
