It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Podnar of Portage, Ohio, born in Salem, Ohio, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Podnar and Elizabeth Podnar; his wife Stephanie (Bonnie); his brothers, Louie (Inez), Nick (Helen), Joe (Nell) and Tom (Jeanette); and his brother-in-law Frank Rodgers.
He is survived by: his sons, John Podnar (Gale) and Steve Podnar (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Tara McMahan (Scott), Jenna Podnar, Hannah Springer (Jordan), Aubrey Podnar and Ben Podnar; his great grandchild Brynn McMahan; and his sister Josie Rodgers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 protocol, only private services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of John to the Apostolic Christian Village, 10680 Steiner Rd., Rittman, OH 44270, where he resided for the last years of his life.
