She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Reall and Lillian Reall (Dewalt); her husband Charles Abernathy; and her son Harry Abernathy (Sheree). She is survived by: her children, Linda Hostler (Gary), Sue Cromwell (Mike), Mark Abernathy (Cindy) and Charlie Abernathy (Serena); her nephew Mike Reall; and her close friend Jodie. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren.
Darlene has requested no flowers, but donations be made to Kingsway Church, 2500 Kingsport Way, Akron, OH 44314, in memory of Darlene.
