He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mildred Morrisette and Ora Dell Morrisette (Tolliver); his wife Mary Morrisette (Himon); and his children, John Matthews, Jr. (Ida) of Sandusky, Michael Matthews of Sandusky, Kenneth Morrisette (Carolyn) of Port Clinton, Essie Cole of Port Clinton, Audree Westbrook of Port Clinton, Geneva Matthews of Sandusky, Kathleen Matthews of Sandusky, Ronald Smith and Dottie Smith. He was also cherished by many grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
