He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leslie and Merrie McGee (Davis); his wife Barbara Mahler; his granddaughter Melissa Dukeshire; and his son-in-law Donald Hare.

He is survived by: his children, James McGee, Sherry Garcia (Joseph), Tim McGee, Patrick McGee, Debra Hare and Daniel McGee (Erin); his grandchildren, Kirby Overmyer, Nikki Johnson, Robert Garcia, Shannon Garcia, Sean Patrick McGee, Emily McGee, Katy McGee, James Hare, Joshua Hare, Anne Merrie Hare, Meara McGee, Aislinn McGee and Cavan McGee; and his niece Colleen Blankenship. He is also survived by Fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
