He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Cornell and Audrey Cornell (Simon-Ridley); his son Kristopher Cornell; and his brother David Cornell. He is survived by: his wife Angela Cornell (Bickley); his son Corey Cornell (Jessica) of Port Clinton; his stepchildren, Joseph Bickley (Amy) of Swartz Creek, MI, Matthew Bickley (LeeAnn) of Marblehead and Jennifer Bickley of Marblehead; his grandchildren, Airrin Carrabino (Jon) of Monroe, MI, Michaela Bickley-Hurlburt (Austan) of Marblehead, Tristen Mallory (Libby) of Port Clinton, Morrisa Mallory of Port Clinton, Haley Bickley of Marblehead, Morgan Mallory of Port Clinton, Zach Bickley of Marblehead, Garrett Cornell of Port Clinton, Maddy Cornell of Port Clinton, David and Benjamin Bickley of Swartz Creek, MI; his great grandchildren, Charley Mae Carrabino of Monroe, MI and Graysen Hurlburt of Marblehead; and his siblings, Sandy Day (Dick) of Port Clinton, Nancy Dunkley of Louisville, KY, Wendy Cortez (Juan) of Port Clinton and Doug Cornell of Port Clinton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives, along with many friends.

The family suggests that memorial contributions can be made in Jim's memory to the UH Seidman Cancer Center at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH.
