She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph; her parents, Samuel Swann and Hattie Swann of Newport, Tennessee; and her siblings, Roy, Quinton (Bud), Samuel, Jr., Earl (Tom), Pauline Martinovich, Helen Mozingo, Raymond (Bill), Imogene Stevens (Sue) and Clementine Burson.

She is survived by: her children, Shirley Mira, Paul (Ellen) and Gloria Cavalier (Ron). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
