He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Alvarez and Dionicia Alvarez (Garza). He is survived by: his siblings, Catarino "Cat" Alvarez (Dana), Fransisco Alvarez (Laurie), Lydia Whitt (Tim), Elda Alvarez and Juan Alvarez (Chris Byrd).
