He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis O'Brien (Louie) and Rosyln O'Brien; his stepmother Kay O'Brien; and his brothers, Richard and Steven.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, Caitlin, Megan and Brendan; and his siblings, David (Linda), Joseph, Susan Menendez (Alberto), Patricia and Kathleen. He is also survived by his family, friends and co-workers.
